Matt

As I was taking the photographs of the Kenyon family, I was joking that I had something to say about each one except maybe Matt. He was the enigma for me. And he remains so. I think that in a lot of ways, he's the quintessential American boy. He's living on acres and acres of land and he has a dad who can make things. So he races home-made go-karts around the wooded trails and does a lot of "messing about in boats" and really, what could be better? I've always loved Ratty, from Wind in the Willows, who might have had a childhood very like Matt's. I hope he's enjoying it.
